Present dispensation has taken series of measures for development of the state : Mufti Sajjad | KNO

Srinagar Anantnag Feb 21 (KNO) : PDP senior leader Mufti Sajjad Hussain today said that PDP is the most credible political voice in the state and represents not only the aspiration of the people but also symbolizes accountability, transparency and able governance. He was addressing a party workers meeting of Halqa Anzullah of Anantnag Constituency today. Senior youth leader Imran Amin, Halqa Presidents including Fayaz Ahmad and other senior workers were also present on this occasion.

Mufti issues statement to Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed developed an alternative narrative in the State and provide balm to the wounds of people with the launch of PDP and subsequently the government led by him in 2002 succeeded to a large extent in that. He said it was for the first time that the discourse in the State got changed to an extent that some of the monumental confidence building measures were taken to assuage the feeling of the people.

Commenting on present policies of the government he said that the Government headed by Ms Mehbooba Mufti is seriously pursuing its agenda of ensuring specific developmental needs of the state and Anantnag in particular adding that the government has prioritized to expedite the developmental works and complete it early in the segment. Coming heavily on the NC and Congress Mufti said that the present government is carrying the baggage of neglect from the previous government. He said that the government has been grappling with difficulties arising out of mismanagement by previous regime led by NC and that is most of the areas in the state particularly Anantnag have not been able to keep pace with the developed .

He said PDP is committed to undo this dismay by ensuring proper utilization of available resource for key sectors like roads, bridges, public health, power and rural development is rationalized. Lauding the Chief Minister , Mufti Sajjad said that the present government has taken series of measures aimed at bringing relief to people and resolving complex issues of Governance and political nature. He hoped that her sincere efforts will bring the desired relief on all fronts and PDP’s agenda will see desired accomplishment with public support in tune with its established policies and commitments.

The people of the area also thanked the Chief Minister and her representative Mufti Sajjad for taking up various development works on priority and demanded expedition of development of Ziyarat Sharief and road widening in the area.. They also demanded for water supply line from Bumzoo water supply scheme to Anzulla and adjoining areas.(KNO)
